Programme Description
The Foundation of German Business (SDW) offers doctoral candidates a vast number of opportunities ranging from various seminars and training programmes to financial support. Courses are held in German, so that candidates should have German language skills of at least intermediate level (C1 or DSH 2). The Klaus Murmann Fellowship Programme is centred on a variety of political, economic and social issues with corporate responsibility being an underlying theme throughout the entire course. The Foundation strongly encourages communication between the students and representatives from the fields of business, science, politics, culture and administration.
Target Group
Junior researchers from Germany and abroad with a higher-education degree who have been admitted to a doctoral programme at a state or state-recognized higher-education institution in Germany, Switzerland or any country within the EU and in the UK.

Duration
The scholarship will be granted for the period requested, but for a maximum of three years.
Scholarship Value
The scholarship amount depends on the income of the candidate. In addition to the scholarship funding a research cost allowance is paid, independent of income, as well as a family allowance, if applicable
- maximum amount of EUR 1,350 per month
- research cost allowance (non means-tested) of EUR 100 per month
- family allowance of EUR 155 per month (for children only)
- support for stays abroad
